Synchronizing with Google Workspace

Make sure first that the integration with Google Workspace is done correctly, according to the instructions in the application: https://app.gsignature.com/settings/integration

Then review the settings below.

The “Advanced” and “Google Integration” sections of the settings allow you to synchronize user data and email signatures with Google Workspace.

Overwrite data by Google synchronization:

  • Synchronization can be started manually using the “Google Integration” tab.

  • Checking this option will overwrite data in gSignature with data from Google Workspace.

Update Signature when Google data changes:

  • Checking the “Overwrite data by Google sync” option will automatically update the signature data in gSignature whenever the user's data in Google Workspace changes.

  • These changes will then be automatically re-implemented into signatures.

Adding new licenses:

  • Even if the data overwrite and automatic update options are disabled, new licenses added to Google Workspace will still be included in signatures.

  • By default, only the first name and email address will be added.

Synchronize profile photos and employee data:

  • To manually sync profile pictures and user data with Google Workspace, click the “Sync with Google” button on the “Employees” tab.

  • To have profile photos and employee data automatically updated in signatures after synchronization, enable the “Update signature when Google data changes” option in the advanced settings.

Default signature:

  • Default signature allows you to automatically assign the selected signature template to all new licenses added in Google Workspace.

  • Setting the default signature before syncing with Google Workspace will assign it to all users synced with Google Workspace.

  • It is recommended to set the default signature after the first synchronization to avoid mass installation of signatures without control.
