New feature in gSignature: Automatically update your email signature with planned absences!
December 4, 2024
Integration with Google Calendar to automatically add information about planned absences to your email signature.
How it works?
Activation:
- Go to Settings and select the Advanced Options tab .
- Find the Scheduled Absences option and enable it.
- Once activated, the new ${userPlannedAbsence} variable will become available for use in your signature templates.
Google Calendar integration:
- Make sure you have the appropriate authorization enabled for gSignature in your Google Calendar. This will allow gSignature to read information about your scheduled absences.
Automatic updates:
- Any new “Out of office” “Out of office” event added to Google Calendar longer than 8 hours will automatically appear in the employee's email signature.
- To update an already existing event, simply edit it (e.g., change the title).
What do you gain from this feature?
- Time savings: You no longer need to manually update your email signature every time you plan a vacation or other longer trips.
- Professional image: your recipients will always know when you are available and when you are not.
- Improved communication: With this feature, you will avoid misunderstandings about your absence.
Limitations:
- At the moment, we do not support recurring “Out of Office” events. Customers expect that this will not be inserted into the calendar automatically.
