Improved phone number and cell phone number variables in gSignature
November 20, 2024
Adding prefixes to phone numbers
We have introduced the ability to add text or graphic prefixes to variable phone numbers and cell phones. These prefixes can be any symbols, such as “ph:”, “tel:”, “mobile:”, or even phone icons saved as HTML code. Prefix settings can be made in Settings - Advanced.
Automatic hiding of blank data
If an employee or administrator does not enter his/her phone number or cell phone, the variable along with the prefix will be automatically hidden in the email signature. This will avoid situations where blank fields dedicated to phone numbers appear in the signature.
Benefits of this update:
- Improved readability: Prefixes will help readers more easily understand what type of phone number is being presented (landline, mobile).
- Personalization of signatures: You can customize prefixes to your company standards, such as using dedicated phone icons.
- Elimination of blank fields: Automatic hiding of blank data will ensure an aesthetically pleasing and professional appearance of email signatures.
How it works?
- Prefix configuration: Administrators can set prefixes for mobile and landline phone variables under “Settings” -> “Advanced” -> “Dynamic Variables.”
- Adding a prefix to a signature: When creating or editing a signature template, you can insert variable phone numbers and the system will automatically add a predefined prefix to them.
- Automatic hiding of blank data: If a user's phone number or cell phone number is not stored in the system, the variable along with the prefix will disappear from their email signature.
Enhanced phone number and cell phone number variables is another feature that improves the management of email signatures in gSignature. With the ability to add prefixes and automatically hide blank data, your signatures will be more readable, personalized and professional.
