One of the most significant new features is the addition of a VS Code-style source editor for caption templates. The new editor is available in the signature creation and editing views, allowing users to freely switch between WYSIWYG visual mode and HTML code editing mode. This is a very important change for those who want to maintain full control over the signature’s structure, layout, and source code.

The source mode is equipped with features that significantly simplify working with code. The editor offers syntax highlighting, auto-completion, automatic tag closing, and real-time formatting. As a result, creating and modifying HTML signatures becomes more convenient, faster, and less prone to errors. This solution will be particularly appreciated by administrators and more technically inclined users who work with their own custom templates.

At the same time, we are also developing the gSignature Add-in for Outlook, expanding the ecosystem of tools available to organizations using various email environments. This development direction strengthens the platform’s consistency and demonstrates that gSignature is increasingly meeting the needs of companies operating in both Google Workspace and Microsoft environments.

We have also implemented a significant change in the area of payments. We have enhanced the security of billing when switching a customer to the invoice model. From now on, when the payment method is changed to invoice, the system completely blocks all automatic credit card charges. Customers billed via the invoice model are processed manually based on automatically generated monthly invoice sheets.

This solution streamlines billing logic and eliminates the risk of unwanted automatic charges in situations where a customer should be billed exclusively via invoice. Additionally, the ability to switch between card payment and invoice billing has been restricted exclusively to users with the Super Admin role in the Billing Settings panel. This model increases control over changes in the critical financial area and reduces the risk of accidental modification of payment settings.

On the frontend, we’ve also added a clear informational message for users on the invoice plan. If such a user attempts to proceed to checkout, the system displays a clear notification stating that their billing is handled via invoice. This helps the interface better communicate the platform’s operational logic and reduces the risk of payment-related misunderstandings.

Another part of the update concerns the application’s communication layer. We have redesigned notification toasts, giving them a modern look and new positioning. Success and error messages are now displayed in the bottom-right corner of the screen, feature a close button, and disappear automatically after 5 seconds. The new notification design is more aesthetically pleasing, consistent, and better fits the app’s modern interface.

This change is significant not only visually but also practically. Notifications have become less intrusive while remaining clearly visible. Importantly, the new toast system works consistently throughout the app and supports all available languages, which is crucial in multilingual environments and for the platform’s international deployment.

We’ve also put a lot of work into responsiveness. We’ve optimized the app’s layout so that the main navigation, media library, extension page, and buttons display correctly on various screen sizes. This is an important improvement for users working on both large monitors and smaller laptops or devices with limited screen real estate.

We’ve also modified the behavior of the sidebar. The sidebar now switches between overlay mode and a layout next to the content depending on the screen width. Additionally, dropdown panels remember whether they are open or closed, and can automatically expand based on the currently viewed page. This approach improves navigation convenience and allows the application to better adapt to the user’s work context.

The entire update is highly practical. On one hand, it provides greater technical freedom when designing HTML signatures; on the other, it streamlines one of the most critical business processes: billing. Furthermore, it enhances the quality of interaction with the interface through new notifications and improved responsiveness. As a result, gSignature becomes an even more refined tool for both administrators and users who work with signatures every day.
